You are probably wondering who the hell are you? Why a "seven minute" face? Do you work at Sephora? Why do I care what you think? Did a 5th grader make this website?

Well, I live in Chicago, I'm a surgical device and biologics consultant, and I do not own any Sephora stock. This is my first attempt at a website and I almost threw the computer off my balcony a few times while inventing a whole new lexicon of curse patois related to website creation. I just love makeup, I've been told I'm decent at applying it and thought I'd make a site to help beginners get started. As for the seven minutes, I timed my application and that is how long it took me to apply!

I don't get any benefit or discounts if you click on the links I've provided, they are just there to help guide online shopping. However, I fully recommend going into Sephora (or any makeup counters at a department store) to buy for the first time. Why do I like Sephora so much? Several reasons: they have a lot of options all in one place, allow easy returns on used makeup that didn't work out, they offer points that can be redeemed for fun stuff, and most importantly the salespeople are not pushy but they ARE available when you need help! In the end it doesn't matter where you shop but definitely make sure you can return makeup if you don't like it!

Makeup should make you feel beautiful whether you want to spend seven minutes or an hour doing it. Sometimes I wear too much, not enough, or a color that doesn't work on me. I often don't realize it until I see a picture or a selfie and I just make a mental note of it for next time.
It might take a while to find exactly what you like and what works for your skin type and coloring. Do not despair if something you bought doesn't work, return it and get something else! Have fun!!
